Amsterdam socks: what the city actually asks of them
Cobbles, canals, sideways rain and a bike every day. A local guide to choosing socks that survive an Amsterdam week — from a label designed here.

We design in Amsterdam and test everything here, which mostly means testing in weather. If a sock works through a Dutch autumn, it works nearly anywhere.
Wet feet are the local problem
Rain arrives sideways and a bike offers no shelter. The question is never whether feet get damp, it is how fast the sock moves that moisture away from the skin. Organic cotton blended with a little recycled polyamide dries far faster than pure cotton and keeps its shape while it does.
Cobbles and a cushioned footbed
Walking the Jordaan or the canal belt means hours on uneven brick. A terry-cushioned sole takes the edge off that without bulking out a shoe, which matters when the same pair goes from the bike to a desk.
Colours that fit the city
Cream, olive and clay sit with brick and grey water instead of shouting over them. It is not a styling rule so much as what looks right here, and it is why our natural dye palette stayed narrow.
Where to buy them
standard pace is online only — there is no shop to visit. We ship across Amsterdam and the Netherlands in one to two working days, and across Europe within the week.
